“I feel great. It was huge for the team, huge for the locker room,” Cook said after failing to score a touchdown for the first time this season. “It’s been a long week, there’s been a lot trying to separate us, and I think that just brought us more close as a group. I’m just proud of the guys with the way they fought back, blocked that outer noise, and came in here and played in a hostile environment.”

Can the Vikings beat the Giants once again? They have a very good chance. Just like all of their wins outside of week one against the Green Bay Packers, this, too, could end up being a very close game.

In the end, a win is a win. However, you have to wonder just how many more close games the fans can take. You can bet the players and coaches also want this to be a blowout win. Sure, close games are always more entertaining, but blowout wins are also very nice, especially when all but one of your wins have been by eight points or less.

The Giants offense averages 20.5 points per game (tied for 20th in the league), which is good news for the Vikings defense, although they have not been very good either. They are allowing 24.9 points per game (28th in the league).

The Vikings offense should put up enough points to win (the Giants defense allows 22.3 points per game – 15th in the league). Can the defense do enough to help pull off their 12th win of the season? It could be another tough win, but they have a great chance of getting another one, regardless of how close it could be.

If this is not the craziest regular season in Vikings history, it is definitely very close.
