Each day, we select a quote about the Minnesota Vikings, uplifting the sentiment of the day or highlighting something notable.
The remark can come from a Vikings player, coach, writer, fan — or anybody, really. Selection of the quote is arbitrary. The excerpt may be insightful, humorous, groundbreaking, outlandish, or foolish. If you have a quote of the day (your own or from someone else), please send it to DustinBakerNFL@gmail.com.

This quote is from February 26th, 2022, tweeted by Jim Souhan from the Star Tribune.
“If the Vikings want to improve their defense, they should draft all Ukrainians.”
Jim Souhan | Star Tribune
And here’s the official tweet:
At first glance, the quip is puzzling — comparing the fight-for-lives by a massive group of people to a football team. We believe Souhan was attempting to applaud the Ukrainian people, albeit with a wildly less-important analogous entity in a football team.
Sohan later clarified:
The tweet was strange — the outlandish brand we prefaced in the second paragraph of this article — but Souhan was ultimately championing the grit of Ukrainians.
It was just weird the Vikings defense was the subject of the tweet.
