This quote is from February 26th, 2022, tweeted by Jim Souhan from the Star Tribune.
“If the Vikings want to improve their defense, they should draft all Ukrainians.”

And here’s the official tweet:
At first glance, the quip is puzzling — comparing the fight-for-lives by a massive group of people to a football team. We believe Souhan was attempting to applaud the Ukrainian people, albeit with a wildly less-important analogous entity in a football team.
Sohan later clarified:
The tweet was strange — the outlandish brand we prefaced in the second paragraph of this article — but Souhan was ultimately championing the grit of Ukrainians.
It was just weird the Vikings defense was the subject of the tweet.
