Each day, we select a quote about the Minnesota Vikings, uplifting the sentiment of the day or highlighting something notable.

The remark can come from a Vikings player, coach, writer, fan — or anybody, really. Selection of the quote is arbitrary. The excerpt may be insightful, humorous, groundbreaking, outlandish, or foolish. If you have a quote of the day (your own or from someone else), please send it to [email protected].

This quote is from February 21st, 2022, posted by Courtney Cronin, the ESPN reporter for the Vikings.

Put simply, she’s leaving to cover the Chicago Bears for ESPN in her hometown. She tweeted this on Monday:

Cronin began covering the Vikings at a marvelous time, just as the 2017 season kicked off. That season, Minnesota made a storybook run to the NFC Championship without a QB1 and RB1. It was the Mike Zimmer defense at the absolute peak of its powers.

And Cronin was fantastic.

For five seasons, she provided balanced and analytical coverage of the team, a trusted source for everything Vikings. She joined folks’ podcasts and the whole bit.

While she’s writing about the rival Bears, her Vikings analysis will be sorely missed.
