In the same week that 2017 seventh-round pick and former Vikings starter, Ifeadi Odenigbo, headed to Tampa Bay to join the Buccaneers for a potential playoff run, former Vikings offensive lineman and 2017 fifth-round pick, Danny Isidora, heads to the Tennessee Titans with the same hope of the playoffs.

Isidora signed with the Titans practice squad this week after a stint with the Arizona Cardinals to begin the 2022 campaign. He spent the first two months of the regular season with Arizona on their practice squad, but he saw no playing time with Arizona.

Isidora got his NFL career started with the Vikings after a collegiate career with the Miami Hurricanes. During his rookie season of 2017, the offensive lineman appeared in seven games, and he got a start during that year as well. Overall, he appeared in 147 snaps of the offensive side of the ball that year.

His role developed even further in the following year of 2018, and he played in 14 games for Minnesota. He also got two starts in this season on offense and played a total of 278 snaps, including 214 snaps on the offensive line.

However, that’s where Isidora’s Vikings tenure ended. Prior to the 2019 season, he was traded to the Miami Dolphins, heading back home to Florida where he attended high school and college. With the Dolphins, Isidora played three games, starting all of them.

His time in Miami came to an end after the 2019 season, and Isidora hopped to Kansas City for the 2020 season. With the Chiefs, he had virtually no playing time, appearing in just one game. He played two offensive snaps in that game. Then, he landed with the Cardinals for 2021; the final team he played for prior to his new contract with the Titans.

In 2021, the former Vikings fifth-round pick appeared in six games for the Cardinals during the 2021 season, but his snaps were few and far between. He got on the field for just 30 snaps during his fifth NFL season.

Now, he joins the Tennessee Titans as they hope to make a run to the playoffs. Currently, they sit at 7-8, tied for 1st in the AFC South with the Jacksonville Jaguars. However, because the Jags beat Tennessee earlier in the season, they hold the tiebreaker over Tennessee. The Titans need another Jaguars loss and to win each of their own final two games in order to crack the playoff field.

This week, they play host to the Dallas Cowboys on New Year’s Day, so winning out will be no easy task for this Titans team. We’ll see if they can get the victory this week before heading to Jacksonville for a Week 18 game that could determine the winner of the division.
