All Things Vikings News: March 23
The following is free-agency news applicable to the Minnesota Vikings on March 23, 2021 — via tweet.
Musings the Eric Fisher stuff.
I wonder how much Eric Fisher will want.
I’d take a chance on him but wouldn’t give him too much given the Achilles. #vikings

Kevin Brown’s Tuesday thoughts.
If the Vikings can clear more cap space by extending Danielle Hunter and Harrison Smith, adding OLT Eric Fisher, OLG Forrest Lamp and S Will Parks on one-year deals makes sense. Re-signing Rashod Hill makes perfect sense with Fisher, who might not be ready right away (Achilles).

Mariota is off the board as potential Vikings backup QB.
#Raiders QB Marcus Mariota is expected to sign a reworked contract with Las Vegas, sources say, as he’ll get a 1-year deal worth $3.5M with a chance to make up to $8M including incentives. It was up and down the last few weeks, but he recently made the call to stick around.

Thompson’s thoughts.
Almost done with my 3rd game of Alijah Vera-Tucker and I think I prefer Darrisaw at 14 to him at 14.
I like a lot about Tucker and he'll probably be in the 15-20 range on my board, but I got one major issue with his game that prevents me from having AVT>Darrisaw.

Optimistic Vikings Fan has a bold forecast for the rest of free agency.
My list to get done before the draft:
Sign Eric Fisher
Sign Forrest Lamp
Extend Harrison Smith
Sign Xavier Woods
Extend and give pay raise to Hunter
Sign Carlos DunlapIs this all possible? ?♂️#Vikings

Some Dalvin, the other one, fodder.
Someone asked what Dalvin Tomlinson's PRWR was but they deleted the tweet but I already wrote the response so:
7% as a defensive tackle, which ranked 35th out of 49 qualifiers. Was double-teamed on pass rushes at the 8th-highest rate though.

Important — because this would mean a former Zimmer associate is still in play for free agency.
This probably means the Seahawks aren’t bringing back Carlos Dunlap…
I kinda want to see the #Vikings make another FA move that isn’t an offensive lineman or safety just to watch this app burn https://t.co/1AADsb6dXg

UffDa. Giants pump the brakes, at least for a moment, on Rudolph.
There’s a snag in the #Giants’ addition of TE Kyle Rudolph. Sources say the team’s medical staff is concerned with Rudolph’s foot after his physical and believes he’ll need surgery. The sides are discussing how to proceed. The two-year deal was agreed to but not yet signed.
