All the Vikings News: March 28
The following is free-agency news applicable to the Minnesota Vikings on March 28, 2021 — via tweet.
Austin Blythe is the hot rumor this weekend.
The Minnesota Vikings have really strengthened their defense from a year ago. They only need two positions(OT+OG) and some depth at WR and DE. If they can land a guy like Austin Blythe in FA, you must make a move UP in the draft to land Sewell or Slater. They are the best!

The Viking Age with five free agents to avoid.
Who are some of the remaining free agents the #Vikings should stay away from?https://t.co/rOzwS9Ye8B
— The Viking Age (@TheVikingAge) March 28, 2021
Blythe or Geno? According to House.
Which move would you like to see the #Vikings make next? At the right price, I think Forrest Lamp and Geno Atkins would be great additions.

Per Wolfson, draft will probably be about the offensive trenches.
And even then, no immediate guarantees. But yes, draft will be a big focus in that regard. But even so, they’d take many guys still on the market for a minimum/close to minimum deal.

Also per Wolfson, “registered interest” in Blythe.
They have registered interest.

This would sure be something, if true.
Now that the Vikings have spent their entire free agent budget on defense, here’s the team’s first six picks in the draft (in any order): OL, OL, OL, OL, QB, WR.

Adam Patrick with the snark.

Schefter with damn-near a confirmation about the schedule.
NFL is expected to expand the regular season schedule this week to 17 games. The league had played a 16-game regular season schedule since 1978, by far the longest stretch without a change in NFL history.

Mike Clay remains high on the Vikings.
The Vikings currently have what is arguably a Top 5 and certainly a Top 10 defense on paper. My bet is last year will prove to be an outlier during the Zimmer era. I expect MIN to be back in the playoffs, especially considering they were 5th in offensive TDs in 2020. https://t.co/1Ybimne4Cf

Well, perhaps Patterson is headed toward the nemesis.
Cordarrelle Patterson’s Twitter activity is leading some to believe he’s planning to sign with the Green Bay Packers.https://t.co/4WjuI06oNR

Cousins led the NFL last season in illegitimate INTs.
Six of Kirk Cousins' interceptions last year were either tipped passes, accurate throws that hit his receiver's hands or hail maries.

Nick Olson unpacks Cole.
The #Vikings traded for Cardinals' former starting center Mason Cole on Thursday. I went back and watched his tape over the last couple years and wrote about whether he projects as the Vikings' starting guard next year:https://t.co/QQ1rHjqz4w

Sosa — who is hot and cold on Kirk — asks for guards.
