Both of the Vikings’ starting wide receivers are dealing with ailments that could potentially put their availability for Saturday’s playoff game into question.

Stefon Diggs (illness) was absent from practice again on Wednesday after missing Tuesday’s walk-thru. Despite missing both sessions, head coach Mike Zimmer told local reporters Diggs was “sick” and “he’ll be fine” for Saturday’s contest against the 49ers.

Adam Thielen reportedly suffered an ankle injury in today’s practice. He wasn’t listed on Tuesday’s injury report but showed up as a limited participant after Wednesday’s session. Thielen returned from a hamstring injury in Week 15 after missing a good portion of the second half of the season. He had seven catches for 129 yards in last weekend’s win over New Orleans.

In a bit of good news, Linval Joseph (knee) returned to practice after not participating in Tuesday’s walk-thru. He was as a limited participant. Defensive backs Jayron Kearse (toe, knee) and Mackensie Alexander (knee) were listed as DNP.
