Vikings agree to trade for Jaguars DE Yannick Ngakoue
When the Minnesota Vikings didn’t resign defensive end Everson Griffen, and lost free agent signing nose tackle Michael Pierce opted out of the season for COVID related high risk factors, people rightfully were concerned about the state of the defensive line. When they attempted to trade for nose tackle PJ Hall and then he failed his physical, people got downright scared.
Well, worry no more as the Vikings have agreed to a trade with the Jacksonville Jaguars for stud defensive end Yannick Ngakoue, per Adam Schefter:
Jaguars agreed to trade franchise DE Yannick Ngakoue to Minnesota for a second- and conditional fifth-round pick that could go as high a third-round pick, league sources tell ESPN. Ngakoue still has to sign his tender, but trade is in place and Ngakoue is expected to be a Viking.

The move will pair Ngakoue with arguably the leagues best/top three defensive ends in Danielle Hunter, and if the team can find a competent starting nose to compliment the two defensive ends, they could wreak havoc on the rest of the league in 2020 and beyond.
