First Look at the Vikings 53-man roster

Cut day 2020 was one of the most difficult in recent memory for many reasons, all a result of COVID-19. It goes back even to the draft where very few players were able to conduct private workouts with teams before the draft. Then, OTAs got moved to virtual platforms.

There was very little contact between teammates this offseason which made it difficult to form team comradery and chemistry. Then, the preseason was cancelled. This left just the summer training camp to truly assess every single talented player on each NFL roster.

Talk about being under a time crunch.

Even through all the uncertainty, we have made it through the September 5th deadline for each team to cut rosters to 53 players. While some changes still can be made, as cut players can be claimed off waivers, we finally have an idea of what the official 2020 Minnesota Vikings will look like. Here is where the team stands as of Saturday night (grouped into each position with names listed alphabetically). The 16-player practice squad is also scheduled to be announced Sunday.
