Vikings Sign Six Players To Reserve/Future Contracts

The Minnesota Vikings began moving forward after a 38-7 blowout at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Sunday.

As announced on the team’s official website, the Vikings signed six players to Reserve/Future contracts, all of whom appeared on the team’s practice squad during the 2017 season. Those players include:

  1. OT Cedrick Lang (Age 25, 6-foot-7, 270 lbs.)
  2. OT Dieugot Joseph (Age 23, 6-foot-6, 302 lbs.)
  3. DT Caushaud Lyons (Age 25, 6-foot-5, 284 lbs.)
  4. DE Ifeadi Odenigbo (Age 23, 6-foot-3, 258 lbs.)
  5. CB Horace Richardson (Age 24, 6-foot-0, 212 lbs.)
  6. LB Antwione Williams (Age 24, 6-foot-3, 240 lbs.)

The Vikings signed wide receiver Brandon Zylstra to a Reserve/Future contract January 3rd.

The seven players will be added to the team’s 90-man roster when the new league year begins at 3 pm (CST) on Wednesday, March 14th. OTA’s, Training Camp and the preseason will provide opportunities for these players to make the team. NFL teams have until 3 pm (CST) on Saturday, September 1st to reduce rosters from 90 players to 53 players.

Players on the practice squad who were NOT signed to a Reserve/Future contract include:

  1. WR Rodney Adams (Age 23, 6-foot-1, 189 lbs.)
  2. S Jack Tocho (Age 22, 6-foot-0, 202 lbs.)
  3. TE Nick Truesdell (Age 27, 6-foot-7, 252 lbs.)
