To address a report from earlier today, Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network reported the Minnesota Vikings have inquired about free agent Sheldon Richardson. Richardson, 27, was previously with the Seattle Seahawks.
While the #Vikings aren't expected to make any big moves in the first wave of free agency (besides youknowwho), they have inquired about DL Sheldon Richardson, per sources. #Seahawks would like to retain him.

A former first round pick of the Jets in the 2013 draft, Richardson has been disruptive in his young career, collecting 19 sacks in five seasons. He was traded from the Jets to the Seahawks prior to the 2017 season. With a new team came a new position as the defensive lineman switched from a 3-4 end with the Jets to an interior tackle with the Seahawks
Richardson earned an 83.8 grade from Pro Football Focus in 2017, his first year in Seattle.
I have to imagine that they’re only covering their bases in case their talks with Shamar Stephen and Tom Johnson fall through. Less likely is that Jaleel Johnson is a total bust and they want Richardson to start and SS and TJ to back up him and Linval Joseph. S’possible, but I doubt it.
What’s the word on Bears RFA CB Bryce Callahan? I heard they had an interest in him.

Haven’t heard any updates the last couple of days
And no news of Shamar Stephen, too?
The latest reports have him visiting with the Lions
