Linval Joseph Added to Injury Report on Thursday
As the Minnesota Vikings took the practice field for the second time in preparation of their Week 16 matchup at Ford Field in Detroit, a key member of the defense was added to the injury report.
After practicing in full on Wednesday, defensive tackle Linval Joseph missed practice on Thursday with a knee injury. Clearly it’s not a good sign to miss practice the day after being a full participant. We’ll keep a close eye on this one as not many details were given about the infliction. If Joseph is unable to play Sunday Jaleel Johnson would likely start in his place. Joseph became the Vikings second defensive starter to miss practice this week.
Middle linebacker Eric Kendricks missed his second straight practice with a hamstring injury. At this point it appears unlikely he’ll take the field against the Lions this Sunday unless he’s able to return to practice tomorrow. Eric Wilson, who filled in on the last drive against the Dolphins, would likely start in place of Kendricks.
Wide receiver Chad Beebe, tight end David Morgan, and right guard Mike Remmers were all limited in Thursday’s session. Each player was limited on Wednesday as well. Long-snapper Kevin McDermott was again a full participant.
The final injury report with each player’s game status will release tomorrow.
