According to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, kicker Kai Forbath will re-sign with the Vikings. Tomasson reported the deal is for one-year.

Forbath, 30, made 32 of 38 (84.2%) attempts last season. The 32 field goals made were a career-high. From 50 yards or more he hit 6 of 9 (66.7%) field-goal attempts.
He converted on 34 of 39 (87.2%) extra points.
Great.
Can’t tell if that’s sarcastic or not…
I like the signing. He sucked on XPs, but we shouldn’t be kicking those anyway. He was well above average on FGs.
Are you with me in that the Vikings should try a few more 2-pt. conversions when the situation calls for it?
Yes! But when needed! Remember, a missed attempt = 6 vs 7 for the TD. That can be the game.
I know DeFilippo has plenty of play calls from the 2-yard line. Hopefully Cousins is a good receiver.
We shouldn’t be kicking XPs??? Want should we be doing?
I like the move. Now go out and sign an undrafted for competition. Just don’t waste a pick on one.
Also, if you can make 50% of your 2 point conversions, it’s like making 100% of PATs. Just about nobody does that.
If my math is right, if we made 43.5% of 2 point conversions, we’d have come out the same as far as points go.
Ha, never thought of it that way. I like it! Vikings converted 66.7% of their 2-pt conversions in 2017
