Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Adam Thielen just surpassed the 100-yard mark for the seventh consecutive time this season. Thielen was leading the league in receiving yards (712) before the start of today’s game. He collected his fifth touchdown reception in the first quarter.

Thielen has become the first player in the Super Bowl era to record 7-straight games of 100+ receiving yards to start the season. Through the Vikings first seven games, Thielen has recorded the following statistics:

  1. 6 catches, 102 yards
  2. 12 catches, 131 yards, 1 TD
  3. 14 catches, 105 yards
  4. 8 catches, 135 yards, 1 TD
  5. 7 catches, 116 yards, 1 TD
  6. 11 catches, 123 yards, 1 TD
  7. 9 catches, 110 yards, 1 TD

That’s a total of 67 catches for 822 yards with 5 touchdowns. Quite the start to the season for Thielen, who has had 1,276 and 967 receiving yard totals the last two seasons.
