You guys are a lot more pessimistic about the next five games than I am. I think Washington and Atlanta are eminently beatable, and that we match up pretty well against he Rams (especially if a healthy Nick Easton is pass blocking Aaron Donald, BJ). And that's with Keenum under center or in the shotgun. I'm actually more worried about Detroit, although their lack of a running game and our depth at cornerback give me hope, and Carolina with its defense, but trading Kelvin Benjamin, a weak running game, and the pass defense of Barr and Kendricks ("Say hi to the nice gentlemen, Christian McCaffrey.") doesn't put that game out of reach, either. I think 11-5 is now the over-under for the season, with 12-4 a real possibility.
Oh, and regarding the commentator who shall not be named over at Drew's piece on Teddy's likely return, I've written many a harsh word about the man, here and elsewhere, but I've never accused him of what you guys implied ("pussyfooted" or "danced around" might be less charitable ways of putting it) might be his problem. If anything, I think he's denounced racial prejudice as being a delusion of folks less successful and intelligent than, of course, him. He just proves that there's than one way to be a Class A schmuck.
