Author Sam Neumann Joins The Gang At Vikings Territory

By Adam Warwas

Sam Neumann

When the Minnesota Vikings stole Lindsey Young away from us by offering her, you know, money… we thought we might have to just call it quits, turn off the lights, and lock the doors behind us.

We didn’t, though, and as of today I’m happy to let you all know that we are officially back up to full strength.

Please join me in welcoming Sam Neumann to the family here at Vikings Territory and learn more about our free agent acquisition after the jump.

You might remember Sam from his guest post following our playoff loss in which he explored the excruciating pain and unwavering hope of the Minnesota Vikings fan. He laid it all out there for you to see in that article, in terms of his allegiance to the purple and gold, but his experience as a writer goes far beyond a one-timer on this fine website.

Sam has authored three books, including the New York Times Bestseller Memoirs of a Gas Stationand works as a professional freelance writer out of his home base in Denver.

We’ve got plans for Sam to really help us out in terms of bringing you all the latest Vikings news, but we are also confident you’ll enjoy his opinions and analysis on many occasions coming up.

We are excited to have Sam on board here at VT and hope you will join us in welcoming him!

Adam Warwas (Founder) has been writing about the Vikings for a total of eight years. Five of those years have been here at Vikings Territory where he continues to surround himself with enough talented individuals that people keep coming back. As proud as he is of what Vikings Territory has become, his real treasures are in his home... a beautiful wife and three amazing children (and a dog named Percy).

  • It appears that Sam's hair is cut by a professional. Welcome.
Could you please pass on a few of your grooming tips to that hot mess, Brett Anderson.

    • Ole,

We have implemented a strict screening process at Vikings Territory to assure that the hair of our writers is, at least, on par with the strict requirements thoughtfully provided by yourself last year, titled "Ole's Guide To Proper Hair Grooming Technique: Blogger's Edition."

With the addition Austin last year, I felt comfortable putting Vikings Territory against any other Vikings blog on the Internet - hair-to-hair match up. But now, with our newest addition Sam, who obviously, as you say, features a beautifully done professional haircut, I feel confident saying we are the best in that area.

Despite the obvious detraction my "do" causes when looking at VT as a group, I feel as though we've come a long way from my early days here which found me featuring a horrible hair ensemble resembling that of Moe from The Three Stooges.

I'd like to thank you for your constant vigilance in keeping the quality of our haircuts at VT above average. I'd also like to think Austin, Adam (and the other Adam), and now, Sam, for working with me to get my hair to a place we can all be relatively "okay" with.

      • The first step towards improvement is acknowledging there is a problem. Congratulations.

...... you still have a ways to go Brett. Perhaps you should consult with Carl. I'd vote his hair as the "Most Improved - 2015"

      • you know, brett, there's more than one meaning of 'hair of the dog'

looking forward to your stuff, sam
