Next week, the Minnesota Vikings and every other team will find themselves in the middle of the NFL’s free agent extravaganza. This week saw plenty of teams releasing an assortment of big name players.
The Vikings have until March 9th before the players on their current roster will have their 2016 contracts become guaranteed. Will the Vikings be the next team to release a player or players who could give them some more money to spend this offseason?
There are still many days before the Vikings will play their first game of the 2016 seasons, but sit back and enjoy some of the best plays from Minnesota’s 2015 season.

I am quite certain that "Vikings have until March 9th before the players on their current roster will have their 2016 contracts become guaranteed" is incorrect.
Vets get their NFL contracts guaranteed for that season (if they are not already guaranteed) when the player makes the week 1 regular season roster. Other players do not get their contracts guaranteed at all.
Some players fall outside of that general rule. Kalil notably has his entire contract guaranteed on March 9 if he is still on the roster. Peterson has a large chunk of his contract guaranteed if he is on the Viking roster the third day of the league year, which I believe is March 11. Other players may also have contract language which guarantees money at a certain date, but these are the exception rather than the norm.
