The start of free agency, and a trade for Mike Wallace, provided us a little relief from the ups and downs of the Adrian Peterson roller coaster ride.
Charles Robinson of Yahoo! Sports gives us a reason to jump back into that conversation, however. He has long held the belief, through his sources, that the Vikings intend to keep Adrian Peterson and that they want to find a way to make him happy to be there again.
Today, however, Robinson is saying that Peterson is not only still disgruntled, but that Arizona is prepared to make an offer to Minnesota if they want to trade their star running back.
All reporting on this situation, including our own, never seems to mesh with anything else being reported. Robinson’s report suggests that the Vikings have yet to put Peterson on the trade block which directly conflicts our own Arif Hasan’s report that the Vikings were actively trying to “dump” Peterson weeks ago.
If the Vikings do intend to trade Peterson this offseason, then the best possible scenario involves multiple teams seriously considering trading for him. This report from Robinson, plus a previous report that Tampa Bay was interested, could combine for an acceptable offer for the Vikings front office to consider.
At this point, the best analysis I can give comes in the form of a total cliche: “Expect the unexpected.”

"Adrian" was considered for my first born boy, but I don't think it was ever even in the top ten. I have now learned my lesson after naming my dog Percy, my goldfish Cosby, and my ferret Brian Williams.

It's difficult to know what to think at this time of year with all the conflicting rumours.One thing however has remained constant,and that is that Peterson continually says he feels "uneasy" about returning to Minny.
If Arizona puts any sort of reasonable offer on the table,then I hope it is accepted.If a second rounder is as good as it gets then so be it.
There is nothing worse in any team sport than forcing a guy to play with a team he doesn't want to be with.A second round pick could easily be turned into a quality RB with the position depth in this draft.

My gut says it will be between Arizona and Tampa. I'm a little surprised Oakland hasn't been rumored but it seems like both Adrian and the Vikings are trying to find an amicable solution. I do think they would keep him if they can't get a package including a solid 2nd round pick and change. I dont doubt the report on the Vikings trying to dump him either, but I don't get the impression they are willing to completely get hosed on a crappy trade.
I would take a second fourth and fifth from Tampawhere 2nd 3rd and 4th from Arizona
how about Patterson to Oakland for a 3rd rounder
