Stefon Diggs, Eric Kendricks Nominated for Rookie of the Week

By Lindsey Young

Vikings wide receiver Stefon Diggs and linebacker Eric Kendricks are in the running for NFL Rookie of the Week. Other nominations include LB Hau’oli Kikaha (Saints), CB Marcus Peters (Chiefs) and CB Damarious Randall (Packers).

After being inactive the first three games of the 2015 season, Diggs impressed against Denver in Week 4. Following the bye week, he continued to make an impact against Kansas City; Diggs finished with seven catches and 129 yards Sunday.

There was plenty of buzz around social media when Minnesota traded LB Gerald Hodges to San Francisco in early October, but Kendricks is clearly up to the challenge of starting. The rookie recorded 10 tackles and a sack in the Vikings’ 16-10 win over Kansas City.

If you would like to vote for Kendricks or Diggs to win Rookie of the Week, head on over to NFL.com and weigh in; voting will end Friday at 2 p.m. CST, and the winner will be announced later in the day.
