If reports were true, then the Vikings required at least a first round selection in exchange for future Hall of Fame running back Adrian Peterson.
The first round of the 2015 NFL Draft came and went, however, and none of the first 32 picks were expended in order to acquire Peterson. Instead, he remains a Minnesota Viking and Rick Spielman tersely reiterated his stance on Thursday night.
There remains plenty of opportunity for Adrian Peterson to be traded throughout Draft Weekend, when training camp injuries begin taking a toll on other depth charts, and prior to the 2015 trade deadline. This evening was perhaps the biggest of all milestones, however, as Peterson still being on the roster is the most concrete indication to date that he will remain in Minnesota for the 2015 season.
Peterson, 30, has seen his image take a big hit within the Vikings fan communities over the last seven months and his potential return to the field will surely persist as the franchise’s most intriguing storyline this offseason.

Will be interesting to see how Miami turns out, given we could've had Parker and Jennings and because a lot of people were intrigued by that pair earlier in the offseason.
So I guess Carter was, in fact, talking directly out of his anus. Schefter (ugh Schefter) said after the draft several teams inquired about Peterson but Spielman was adamant about not trading him under any circumstances. If you're hoping for a trade, I wouldn't hold your breath.
I know everyone is of the belief AD is aloof and unaware, or unapologetic about what he did, but I feel just because he hasn't shown it publicly, yet, doesn't mean he won't. Once he has his first 50 yd run, scores, or has a 100 yd game everyone will be happy. He'll be happy and say what he needs in the post-game interviews or pressers or when he feels right to do so, maybe even at training camp. Although it is necessary for him to do this, more people should respect his privacy and understand that everything can't happen on the public's timeline.
