Of note, Bortles, Carr, Manziel and Garoppolo were not responsible for their protections in college, and more than one quarterback has been cut because they have not picked them up quickly enough (the most recent and well-reported of which was Tyler Wilson from the Raiders).

I am so pumped he's one of us now. He's just got that feel about him - focused, likes to prepare, jives really well with the coaches. I think the next few years are going to be quite exciting for the Vikings. Just hoping the NFC North doesn't batter itself out of SB contention. We have some strong teams here.
Great tapes! I absolutely can't wait for September! I think Teddy is going to do really well with the Vikings in the NFL. I would bet that Teddy has the playbook down by training camp. This kid is smart enough to be starting by game 3 or 4. It's gratifying thinking that our new QB was home celebrating his new job and Mother's Day while another new NFL QB was out buying 100 beers and shots for his teeny bopper admirers. OMG am I happy that the Vikings got Teddy!!!!!!
I'm stoked we have a young QB we can get behind. Thanks for putting the videos in one place. The thing that stuck with me most, aside from how Teddy doesn't seem to get rattled, is no. 9 (Parker) made some great/difficult catches. I like that guy. Anyway, glad there's finally some optimism for a QB we drafted. I don't remember ever being excited about a QB the Vikings drafted. Skol!

Again, watching Bridgewater, I'm struck by the way he doesn't necessarily throw to the receiver, but rather, 'throws the receiver open'. The Vikings receivers are going to absolutely LOVE that; a QB who knows how to put the ball where they, and only they, can get to it.
He's running the timing on the routes in his head because he knows where the receivers are supposed to be and adjusts with nothing more than a glimpse, in a way we haven't seen since Favre (OMG GREG LEWIS!). And he's counting defenders at the same time because he knows when he's pulled the cover from one target by drifting towards the first read before shifting to the second.
I love the way all his receivers are expecting the ball to come to them, every play. You can see how they turn and their arms come loose; there's no pre-determined targets in these passes, Bridgewater has them all accustomed to being ready if it happens to come their way. That tells me that he doesn't lean too heavily on any one target, and he's doing the full read analysis solution every time. You don't even see this in most starting NFL QBs.
He's able to run but he maintains his focus and he throws when he's ready, not when pressure forces him to. This is one of the things that really concerned me with Manziel and other than one incredibly stupid leap over the top, I haven't seen Bridgewater fall into that trap. On that leap.... unless it's the closing seconds of the Super Bowl with the Lombardi at stake, I never ever ever want to see a Viking QB pull a stunt like that. Just sayin' :)

Teddy looks so much like Aaron Rodgers did in college. I have high hopes.
7:20 of that first video makes me so happy. Sure, it's an incompletion, but you know the ball is exactly where it's supposed to be. He KNOCKS DOWN THE PYLON. I am beyond ecstatic about having him.
Farve showed Minnesota what a real quarterback can do. Now Teddy is going to give us something special. An assasin like we have never had.
Teddy will look look better in Purple than he did in Red!
