2014 Minnesota Vikings: Vikings Won’t Release Adrian Peterson, May Trade

From Bart Hubbuch at the New York Post, the Vikings have “ruled out” releasing Peterson, but are open to trading him if “ugly details” emerge. They do not expect a suspension sans conviction.
Speculation to come after the game, I’m sure.

Arif, After watching the game it is clear that the offense is completley reliant on the presence of adrian peterson not even norv was able to overcome this loss with his game plan these receveirs rely on adrians presence to get open also the loss of simpson has an impact because he atleast spread the defense so unless this personnel gets an overhaul AP will have to play
Norv Turner has had Adrian Peterson available to him in ONE game. He hasn't coached in the NFL for this long by being dependent on one player. Today showed quite clearly that you win with solid QB play in this league. Cassel was awful and Brady didn't make any mistakes. Your not going to lose a guy like AD and not feel it (particularly when the game plan included him), but to say they are completely reliant on him is a pretty big stretch.
DAN T, just like how manning lost to seatlle and how alot great offenses lose to great defense because they over pass if the vikes had ap i guarantee you it would be diffrent result because teams scheme for months to stop him and a guy like cassel cant handle this kind of pressure on his shoulders he needs ap to dictate the coverage in order for him to manage the game
heck yes, lets see spielman work some magic. Im sure he was worth alot more a few weeks ago but lets take what we can get. Lets face it his days were numbered due to getting older and a rediculus contract. So lets get a decent rb back and some picks.
If we could trade him for a left tackle that would be keen.
I'm not in favor of trading ap just yet. I'm curious to hear an official announcement by vikings brass so I can feel what the general plan is now.
If anyone needs to be kicked off the team it's cassel. Horrendous performance today. This whole week has just been extremely shocking and depressing. Vikings orginazation needs to come up with a solid plan so that we can at least cops with this situation with ap. this week sucked brutally...................
