Adam Warwas (Founder) has been writing about the Vikings for a total of eight years. Five of those years have been here at Vikings Territory where he continues to surround himself with enough talented individuals that people keep coming back. As proud as he is of what Vikings Territory has become, his real treasures are in his home... a beautiful wife and three amazing children (and a dog named Percy).

  • Somewhat surprised by how much fat-to-muscle ratio the team has lost/gained. My old man would always comment on how the Vikings players were so much flabbier looking than every other team, or how some teams would have massive players with chiseled bodies like Julius Peppers or Vernon Davis and our Vikes have little itty bitty guys like Marcus Sherels or flabbier guys like JA and Guion.

That said, JA could probably bench me one handed..he's country boy strong no doubt, but he doesn't have that chiseled and cut look like the majority of other players. Going around the roster there are quite a few guys you could claim the same compared to other players around the league. Rudolph compared to Davis or Gronk? Even Jimmy Graham..Greenway compared to Patrick Willis? or even Sean Lee / Witherspoon.

The team in general was chubby.

According to this, Jerome was the NFLs' 6th best deep-pass receiver as far as catch rate. He caught 10/10 catchable passes over 20 yards, and was targeted 25% of the time when Vikes' QBs threw deep. Add to this his proficiency in drawing PI calls means he continues to be a threat down the field.

Simpson was the 22nd best receiver in the entire league as far as overall drop-rate, and Greg Jennings was the 17th best in the NFL.

With CP84's continued development and Jarius Wright's continued progress as a slot and deep threat, along with the promise shown by Thielen and Kain Colter so far this offseason, the WR group is turning into a strength.

Chase Ford and AC Leonard are promising young receiving threats at TE as well.

  • Keep those links coming every week Adam. Lots of good info in those. It is really amazing how much talent Ricky has brought to this team over the past 3 years.
