Links Of The Week: Getting Closer To Draft Time

By Adam Warwas

You know the drill, here is the best of the best:

As proud as he is of what Vikings Territory has become, his real treasures are in his home... a beautiful wife and three amazing children (and a dog named Percy).

  • I do like that list that was put together by that " hack blogger" guy. I just think that Minter would actually be a better fit because he is a little quicker and would not be a liability in coverage that I think Teo would be. I do like Patton but I like Hopkins a little better, but I think either one would be a solid pick.

  • Just read that Keenan Allen ran a 4.71 and a 4.75 at his pro day. Seems very slow to me. Also read that he is still not fully healed yet either. After already having a previous knee surgery and is slow in healing from his current PCL injury, that should raise some red flags about him and makes him a risk in the 1st round.

  • "Everson Griffen is using his new baby as motivation for building on his best pro season."

This is kind of cool! Perhaps the new baby will also motivate him to well, get married. Just a thought.

  • "There are a number of reasons the Vikings should consider quarterback Geno Smith if he, somehow, begins to slide on Draft Day."

There is a greater chance of finding Coach Buds dancing in this video wearing his traditional flannel shirt (red or black) than having the Vikes choose QB Leno Smith.

For the record Buds, don't try it...your back will snap like a twig.

    • Thanks alot Freds. I clicked on your link, watched about 7 seconds of it, up until the time my wife just happened to wander by. . .Thanks Pal.
I'm heading out now to shovel some snow, take out the trash, maybe was a few windows. . .anything to get out of her glare.

  • Some of the reasoning he gives behind why choosing geno smith will be a good idea is mind blowing stupid.
    1. point is that we will have trait bait.
Look fellow. If None of the teams wanting to give up a first round pick this year for drafting him what the hell makes you think they are willing to do it in another year?
And we already have Cassel as a backup, there is simply only one reason to draft him and that'll be if he is the next payton manning, tom brady or aaron rodgers (hate to say it, but the dude is good)
