Michael Floyd To Meet With Vikings

By Brett Anderson

According to NFL.com, Notre Dame wide receiver Michael Floyd is scheduled to meet with the Vikings in the upcoming week. Floyd is just one of the many prospects that the Vikings are sure to host in the upcoming days to the NFL draft.

Michael Floyd is considered by many to be the second best wide receiver in this draft class, only preceded by Oklahoma State’s Justin Blackmon.

The Vikings, who have the third pick in the draft, are highly unlikely to draft Floyd unless they trade down later into the first round or trade back up into the first round if they really like him.

Interestingly enough, the visit to the Vikings serves somewhat as a homecoming for Floyd who attended, and played football floor, Cretin-Derham Hall in St. Paul, Minnesota.

  • I hope we don't end up with Floyd. I see him getting into trouble and he is not a first round pick. I knew Floyd in school, graduated the same year as him and played him my senior year. He wasn't as fast as I expected (altho the guy could block better than any wr I ever played) also he is lazy and took a few plays off against us in state. Either me and the rest of the secondary at Lakeville North was better than I thought or he is over-rated.
He was a big drinker in high school and college/becoming a first round draft pick didn't change that so I am not sure anything will which could also be a problem. Drinking problem, attitude problem, taking plays off, I hope for his sake he grew out of all those problems at Notre Dame.
