While there were both cheers and jeers at the State Capitol today, Governor Mark Dayton made good on his promise to sign the Vikings stadium bill into law.
The stadium fight has gone on for over a decade, starting long before Zygi Wilf and family even owned the team, but it finally appears to be coming to a close.
The final step is for the Minneapolis City Council to vote on the bill, which is not expected to be a problem.

Dear Mr. Daytons,
It's me, your old pal Fragile here to congratulate you on showing the necessary leadership to push this thing through and helping to ensure a new stadium for the next 25 years. It's not that Freds didn't think you could do it, well maybe it was. Perhaps having Roger Goodwell show up and sit you down and explain that if this sucker didn't pass in this session he was packing up the purple and leaving town was all you needed to get your liberal ass in gear. It doesn't really matter why it passed Marge, the bottom line is that you got it done. Props to you.
Signed,
Your old Pal Fragile
Oh that had to hurt Freds? It pains me to give your Gov credit but is has to be done so thank you Mr. Dayton. When the chips were down the Gov realized the importance of the Vikes and kept things alive. So many thanks to those on both sides of the aisle that pushed this thing through.
Yes Freds how nice of you to compliment the man on getting his liberal ass in gear. What better way to tell someone how much you appreciate them?
Thank you Buds.
