Ted Ginn Jr. In For A Visit

By Adam Warwas

Fullback Jerome Felton isn’t the only free agent expected to meet with the Vikings today.

According to Vikings Now, the Vikings are hosting wide receiver and return specialist Ted Ginn Jr.

Ginn has had struggles with hanging onto passes throughout his career, but he has earned plenty of recognition as a dangerous return man.  Ginn was selected ninth overall by the Dolphins in 2007 and will be 27 years old.

  • Could be a good signing. Would definitely upgrade or return game and honestly probably be our second best receiver as well. Cheap contract will be the major issue

  • I think it would be a good move in regards to protecting/resting Harvin, and allowing him to focus on offense only. I don't think Ginn will be a difference maker on offense. With that said, I think for a low price, Ginn would definitely be a worthwhile signing. Ginn is on par with Harvin on kick-offs and an upgrade over Sherrels on punts. I would like to see the Vikings sign him.

  • Would bolster the Return game...
We definitely need help at the WR. spot also...

  • Why did the Vikings sign another fullback (Felton)? You gotta fricken be kidding me!! Has Spielman really have an idea what the weakness of this team is?

  • We know exactly how good Ted Mclynn is, not very. He's a retread. He is gutless, and unreliable. Let's not.

We are rebuilding, this isn't going to help. Draft some cornhole in round 26 at the WR spot at least he might work out, Ted Flynn isn't going to get a lick better.

  • He may be a bust as a receiver, but he's still one of the most dangerous return man in the game. If he didn't play a single snap at WR, he'd still also upgrade our WR core by allowing Percy to focus solely on being a receiver

    • unless it's Devin Hester it's a waste of a roster spot. i'd rather let harvin or others handle the return game
