Consider this statistical analysis for a second. Christian Ponder completed 11 passes to Vikings receivers during Sunday’s win.
These 11 passes were good for 91 yards and no touchdowns. Jay Cutler, on the other hand, completed two passes to Vikings cornerbacks and those interceptions were good for 100 yards and a touchdown.
So, to be clear, Jay Cutler was a better Vikings quarterback on Sunday than Christian Ponder was.
Leslie Frazier and his staff decided to go “all in” utilizing a formula many of were calling for weeks ago, and it led to a fairly impressive victory over a divisional foe. The Vikings fully embraced the idea of having to run the football (accompanied by solid defense) to win football games, and even if it seems they figured it out a little too late, they are still in the playoff hunt because of it.
Against the Bears on Sunday Adrian Peterson had a career high of 31 carries while Christian Ponder tied his season low of 17 passing attempts. If you throw in some Toby Gerhart and bootlegs, the Vikings ran the ball 21 more times than they threw it.
The Vikings have once again proved that they can win with Christian Ponder at quarterback, but once again it is obvious that they can really only do it if Peterson continues to play out of his mind and the defense continues to come up with big plays.

If we're dedicated to the run, throw in the tangled Webb, run the option. Do completely weird stuff, it could be fun.

I think the only difference between those two ladies is that the sophisticates demand a "franking privilege" waiver to be filled out 48 hours in advance.
The Tangled Webb offense could be a thing of beauty. Quadruple reverses, Flea Flicker/Statue of Liberty combo deal, Jared Allen in as tight end in the Red Zone, and Matt Kalil/Loadholt in as double full backs. Those are just the conservative plays. It gets weird after that.
ok, The Tangled Webb plays will need an extra second or three to develop, so why not have a second level, like a second floor on the field without the actual floor getting in the way, the players have to levitate, but that's their problem, and allow passing up and down between levels, too. and when simpson jumps over a guy, he stays up on that level, and ponder's passes that sail can be caught by the unintended second floor receivers

We are going to kill AP. He is great but 31 carries a game is too many. 34 rushing attempts for our running backs should be split 24-10 AP-TG. I see 17 passes + 31/3/4 rushing attempts = 55 plays run by our offense. I think Frazier(in a game like that) should run AP 25 times, TG 10, 15 Drop Backs for Ponder(including scrambles and sacks), and the last 5 should be Wildcat plays with Webb. We need to use our weapons more while minimizing the wear on Adrian.

On a different topic, how cool would it be to somehow get a trade worked out with Arizona for Larry Fitzgerald? The poor guy went thru his whole young life dreaming of playing for the Vikes (he was raised in Minnesota and at one time was ballboy for the team.) What are the chances?
