The P/PTSD Perspective: Vikings WR a Bust, Cutting Beloved Playmaker, and DT Help

By K. Joudry

PurplePTSD works in partnership with Vikings Territory, similarly doing their utmost to offer top-notch coverage of the Minnesota Vikings. As a result, we’re promoting five of their top articles of the past week in “The P/PTSD Perspective.” Take a peek at some of their best stuff.

The P/PTSD Perspective: July 13th, 2024

1) Dynamic Vikings WR Facing Bust Theories: The idea that Jordan Addison will be a bust is a bit misguided. Sophomore slumps happen and subtracting Kirk Cousins means the QB play is likely to take a step back. The young receiver, though, is going to be just fine.

2) Does Beloved Vikings Playmaker Finally Get Cut: C.J. Ham has been in the cut chatter for years. At this stage, he’s a bit reminiscent of Marcus Sherels, someone who shined on specials for years and who consistently found a way to hang around. Look for Minnesota to keep the one affectionately known as Hammer.

3) The Vikings’ Young Defensive Tackle has “Pop and Anchor to Battle”: No doubt, Minnesota needs a bit more help for their defensive line. Harrison Phillips is locked-in as a strong starter, someone who can be a menace against the run but who doesn’t do a ton as a pass rusher. Does the UDFA add get tossed into the mix?

4) Vikings Linked to “Luxury Addition” in Free Agency: The Flores connection makes the idea more plausible, doesn’t it? And even though there’s a clear cut top trio — Greenard, Van Ginkel, & Turner — tossing a fourth into the mix wouldn’t be a bad thing. QBs will have a tough time if they’re constantly getting suplexed.

5) Former Vikings Executive Delivers Bold Season Prediction: Most onlookers think that a modest season is afoot for the Vikings. After all, the NFC North has gotten better in a hurry and Minnesota’s long-time QB1 is now calling Georgia home. There are some, though, who have hope, including the former Vikings executive.
