Minnesota defeated the Indianapolis Colts in Week 9 by a score of 21-13, the club’s get-right game to restore winning ways and enhance the 2024 win-loss standing to 6-2.

This weekend, the Vikings are on the road to battle the 2-7 Jacksonville Jaguars, a team probably led by Mac Jones at quarterback, as Trevor Lawrence is nursing a shoulder ailment.

The writers at VikingsTerritory predict Minnesota will win its seventh game of the season.

In Week 9, Adam New most accurately predicted the outcome of Vikings-Colts. He forecasted an eight-point win for Minnesota, and it did precisely that.

The Vikings are favored to prevail by 6.5 points against the Jaguars, and if so, Minnesota would improve its 2024 record to 7-2, firmly in position to visit the postseason tournament.

USA Today’s Lorenzo Reyes picked the Vikings over the Jaguars, too, 23-14. “Minnesota has shown some cracks recently, but defensive coordinator Brian Flores has been stellar in crafting game plans that confound opposing quarterbacks. The Jaguars often start games slowly and are sometimes forced to rely on the passing game to catch up. That’s not where you want to be against this Vikings defense,” Reyes wrote.

If the Jaguars find a way to beat the Vikings, they’ll snap a five-game losing streak against the purple team. They haven’t defeated Minnesota since 2001, the very first game of the Mike Tice era.
