Our Official Prediction: Vikings at Bears

The VikingsTerritory collective staff prediction for the Minnesota Vikings at Chicago Bears is in.

Our Official Prediction: Vikings at Bears

Minnesota defeated the Tennessee Titans in Week 11 by a score of 23-13, the club’s third straight win to restore winning ways and enhance the 2024 win-loss standing to 8-2.

This weekend, the Vikings are on the road again to battle the 4-6 Bears, a team with a formidable passing defense and struggling offense.

The writers at VikingsTerritory predict Minnesota will win its ninth game of the season.

Writers mostly chose the Vikings, evidently confident that the Vikings’ 8-2 record will climb to 9-2.

Here’s how the panel sees the score for Week 12:

Dustin Baker: Bears Win, 20-14
Brevan Bane: Vikings Win, 24-16
Sean Borman: Bears Win, 23-17
Janik Eckardt: Vikings Win, 24-17
Josh Frey: Vikings Win, 24-14
Henrique Gucciardi: Vikings Win, 13-9

Adam New: Vikings Win, 21-17
Ted Schwerzler: Vikings Win, 28-24
Ali Siddiqui:
Vikings Win, 21-13
Cole Smith: Vikings Win, 20-13

Mathematically en masse, we predict the Vikings will top the Bears by a score of 20-16.

In Week 11, Ted Schwerzler and Dustin Baker most accurately predicted the outcome of Titans-Vikings. They forecasted a 10-point win for Minnesota, and it won by precisely that margin.

The Vikings are favored to prevail by 3.5 points against the Bears, and if so, Minnesota would improve its 2024 record to 9-2, firmly in position to visit the postseason tournament.

USA Today’s Lorenzo Reyes picked the Vikings over the Bears, too, 21-19. “The Vikings have been steady, if unspectacular in recent weeks. The Bears showed more life on offense after firing former offensive coordinator Shane Waldron. Caleb Williams will need to chip in more and produce some touchdowns, but I can see this as a spot where the Bears keep it close with another week under Thomas Brown’s direction of the offense,” he wrote.

Minnesota hasn’t lost at Soldier Field in five years, and that place used to be a house of horrors for the Vikings. That has not been the case in the last half-decade.
