The Minnesota Vikings improved to 12-2 on the season with a dominant 30-12 victory over the Chicago Bears on Monday night.
The win was Minnesota’s seventh in a row, and it moved the Vikings to even in the standings with the Detroit Lions for the No. 1 seed in the conference. With another impressive win now in the rearview mirror, here is a look at the Vikings’ snap counts from Week 15.
The Vikings saw some great production from their offense all around on Monday night. Sam Darnold did throw his first interception since Week 10, but he countered that with 231 yards and a touchdown. Aaron Jones also had a strong day running the ball, totaling 86 yards and a touchdown on his 18 carries while also adding two receptions for 20 yards.
RT Brian O’Neill did leave the game for portions of the first half with a knee injury, but following his postgame update, it appears that he will be okay moving forward. The Vikings caught a break there.
The Vikings got a chance to show off some of their younger players once again on Monday, and Dallas Turner had one of the better highlights of the night when he got his second career sack. Turner also got his highest amount of snaps on defense since Week 1 against the New York Giants.
Meanwhile, Dwight McGlothern got snaps on defense for the second consecutive week, and PFF gave him Minnesota’s highest defensive PFF grade for not allowing a reception on either of his two targets. With the Vikings needing help in the secondary in 2025 and beyond, McGlothern could be a piece to keep an eye on.
Not only did the young Vikings get plenty of action on defense, but a chunk of them can also be seen at the top of Minnesota’s special teams snaps. Hopefully, that trend continues for the Vikings.
In terms of performances, Will Reichard went a perfect six-for-six on his kicks Monday night while Ryan Wright had a bit of an injury scare when he had a punt blocked, but like O’Neill, he seemed to have dodged the worst-case scenario.
