Grade The Trade: Rick Spielman’s Second Trade In As Many Days

By Adam Warwas

On Day Three of the 2016 NFL Draft the Minnesota Vikings have added offensive lineman Willie Beavers, linebacker Kentrell Brothers, and wide out Moritz Boehringer. They also added two picks to their 2017 arsenal on Friday by trading out of the third round.

On Saturday, Spielman once again made a trade, this time with his 186th overall selection. He traded, once again, with his former team the Miami Dolphins. In fact, the pick that Spielman traded to Miami was the sixth rounder he acquired from them just yesterday.

So, what did the Vikings get in return?

The details were fuzzy at first, with the action all coming so suddenly and quickly, but we think we’ve found out the truth.

Unlike the trade from yesterday, it does not appear that Spielman was able to net any future picks, but this was instead just some posturing of the late-round variety.
