VT Welcomes The Purple FTW! PodCast For 2015

By Adam Warwas

If you haven’t noticed in my “Links of the Week” segments, I am a big fan of a somewhat recent addition to the plethora of Vikings entertainment options, the Purple For The Win Podcast masterminded by Andy Carlson.

Now I am pleased to announce that Vikings Territory has added Purple FTW! to our arsenal of awesomeness on a full time basis.  By visiting VT on a regular basis you will never again miss one of Andy’s episodes, but in case you are really super worried about that you can subscribe to the podcast on iTunes or on YouTube.

We are all ecstatic to welcome Andy to the VT family and hope our readers genuinely enjoy this newest addition.  To get started, you can listen to Andy interview some hack blogger on Tuesday:

The next episode will feature Arif and multiple writers from our friends at Daily Norseman.  The first part, which featured Luke Inman of eDraft, can be found by CLICKING HERE.

  • congratulations on the new addition, adam. it's good to see this site growing. i wish bud, johnny, freds, and all the others would show up here more often, but i'm glad to see the new people come on board

you've chummed the waters and invited criticism, so about your thoughts that if zim and the vikes don't make the playoffs next season, he'll be on the hot seat...
i'd say you'd be right if the vikes go 0-16 or anything close to it, but if we see good progress, i think he'll be fine even without a playoff berth, and i think the division wins will come, too. the 2015 common opponents for the nfcn will most likely preclude a wild card from emerging out of our division, so unless we win the division, we're probably not making the playoffs

we could win the division, though, and it might only take nine or ten wins to do it, but seven games will be against playoff teams, so we'll have to improve quite a bit to have a chance. even with seven or eight wins, i think zimmer will be ok, as long as it looks like he's showing progress and the team is improving. it obviously all depends how the season unfolds, and a lot can happen between now and then. it's just too soon to even mention zimmer being on the hot seat next season

    • Hey Cal, thanks for listening in. I too wish Coach and Johnny and Fragile and everyone would stop in and at least let us know all is well with them. Miss them.

Anyways, I know this idea that Zimmer's honeymoon is over in Week One of 2015 and that he could be on the hot seat isn't going to be a popular one. Not right now. I hope it never comes to this, but if things start to go south in the beginning of the next season, it'll be interesting to see just how long it takes for the fans and local media to turn their backs on Zimmer. I think it'll happen faster than anyone realizes.

But, again, I really hope this doesn't happen and those comments of mine fade into obscurity.

  • I took a listen too. great job Adam. BUT HAVE YOU LOST YOUR MIND??!!
Zimmer gone at the end of next year if things don't go well?
I am certain you just said that to get us all riled up. Well, it worked!

If Zimmer ends next season 7-9 next year, he's still the Coach the following year. That's my take anyway.
I love that guy by the way. He is SO. . .non-Childress-like.

And more importantly, where the hell is Coach, Freds and the Big Johnny! Have you had any contact with them?
