Vikings Add Jabari Price Back to Active Roster

The Vikings announced Monday that cornerback Jabari Price has been reinstated onto the 53-man active roster. Price was serving a two-game suspension, and the Vikings held an open place for him during the first two weeks of the season.

Reporters interviewed Price in the locker room Monday morning, and he said the following:

“It feels good to be back. The last couple weeks have been really tough for me watching at home, watching the games on television and watching us come up short against San Fran. I didn’t think it was going to be difficult but it hurts.”

Price received the suspension in July after violating the NFL’s substance-abuse policy.  In December, Price pleaded guilty in December to careless driving after being charged with DWI, making his the standard suspension for guys with drunk driving arrests.

The cornerback participated fully with the Vikings during training camp and preseason, and during the first two weeks of the season he worked out on his own to maintain readiness to return.

“Last couple weeks have been really tough on me,” Price said. “Watching from home, watching the games on television. Watching us come up short against San Fran. I didn’t think it was going to be difficult, but it hurts.”

Price joins five other corners on the active roster: Captain Munnerlyn, Terence Newman, Xavier Rhodes, Marcus Sherels and Trae Waynes. CB Josh Robinson remains on the PUP list after tearing his pectoral earlier this summer.
