The Minnesota Vikings have reportedly added former Chargers receiver Bryan Walters to the mix, adding depth but still not solving their most pressing need of finding a true number one at the position.
Walters was signed as an undrafted free agent in 2010 by the Chargers. He has since bounced back and forth from their practice squad, to their active roster, to the waiver wire, and back to the practice squad. He was cut by the Chargers last month.
At 6’ 0” and 190 pounds, Walters played in four games last season catching three passes for 27 yards.
Walters will have an uphill battle to make the 53-man roster, but will be a name to keep an eye on when the team heads to Mankato.

Ok, I'll admit spielman has made a few iffy signings during his tenure. But he has also made some excellent signings and also has a grayish draft history. But I trust in rick. With the exception of the brain fart of a decision to pick ponder with the 12th overall pick and a couple others, he has done a great job in filling needs and making some quality picks in the draft. Cut him some slack. He stepped into a role not many people wanted, and in my eyes, is doing exactly what's needed to turn the vikes into the team to beat in the north. It probably won't be this year. But in 2 or 3 years, we will be a contender if he keeps this pace. And not just a one and done playoff contender. I'm confident teddy will progress into a marquee qb and lead us to atleast a conference championship in a couple years. Just look how our secondary has transformed in the past couple years. Our D line will be a stronger unit. We need to dump greenway and get a good two way linebacker in the draft to strengthen our weak side and a big fast db and then our D will be one to reckon with.
