The team began trimming the fat on Tuesday, releasing cornerback Bene Benwikere and wide receiver Jordan Taylor. They waived running back Roc Thomas and added guard Tiano Pupungatoa, then waived safety Micah Abernathy and acquired running back De’Angelo Henderson. For the first time in years, the Minnesota Vikings have a real shot at putting together a SOLID offensive line, just in time for the regular season.
The Minnesota Vikings on Thursday bolstered the depth of the offensive line, signing free agent guard Dakota Dozier. Terms of the deal were not announced. Dozier, 27, spent the first five seasons of his NFL career with the New York Jets, the team that drafted him in the fourth-round of the 2014 draft.
The Minnesota Vikings on Wednesday signed offensive lineman Josh Kline to a three-year, $15.75 million deal. Kline, a veteran guard, is expected to become the team’s starter on the right side.Terms of the deal were first reported by Courtney Cronin of ESPN.
Multiple sources have reported that the Minnesota Vikings will host free agent guard Josh Kline on a visit this week. So far there has been no word yet on what day the visit will take place. Presumably Kline will come in for a tour of TCO Performance Center in Eagan and then be treated to a fancy steak dinner at Manny’s (if he’s worthy).
