6 Predictions for Vikings Non-JJets MVP in 2024: Fans

And to get the wheels turning on how the 2024 campaign might shake out, we asked Vikings fans to predict the team’s non-Justin-Jefferson MVP in 2024. These are their responses.

Instruction to all: Who will the Vikings’ non-Justin-Jefferson MVP be in 2024? Basically — the team’s most impactful player in the regular season other than Jefferson.

1. Aaron Jones (RB)

Aaron Jones, Jonathan Greenard, Jordan Addison and Cam Bynum spoke with reporters after mandatory minicamp on Wednesday, June 5th, 2024, at TCO Performance Center. MIN signed Jones during the 2024 free agency period, a replacement for Alexander Mattison, who joined the Las Vegas Raiders roster.

The Vikings were a bottom-three run game last season, and it held them back from having true impactful drives. Aaron Jones will only enhance Kevin O’Connell’s ability to move the ball down the field.

No more 1-2 yard runs from Alexander Mattison! We all know Mattison really only had one gear, and that was just to run up the gut and hope for 3 or so yards. Jones will be 100 times better at avoiding defensive stuffs at the line and will do a better job of bulldozing through for extra yardage.

We’ll see more moves to the outside to take advantage of more open-space blocks (I think it’ll be back to a more Dalvin Cook-like style run game). This aspect alone can take them from a Top 10-ish offense to the Top 5.

2. Jordan Addison (WR)

I think Addison can be that guy if he keeps out of trouble. If he can’t handle that, it will be one of our running backs — Jones or Chandler.

3. Jonathan Greenard (OLB)

I see Jonathan Greenard being the most impactful player on this defense outside of Jefferson this season. A younger, explosive pass rusher on a defense that has seemingly reloaded, I think he can make an immediate impact. Along with his impact on the field, I think he can serve as a mentor to Dallas Turner and help accelerate his progression.

4. Trishton Jackson (WR)

He had the most receiving yards out of all NFL players in preseason (right?) … lol! I think he’ll have an outstanding year, and I’m excited to see it unfold. He’ll be a secret weapon for sure.

t5. Ivan Pace Jr. (LB)

The defense will have to step up with this year’s team. I’ll choose Pace. He’s going to have a lot of tackles.

I think it’s going to be Ivan Pace. I think he will take on the lead role on the defense. His ability to rush the passer, get everybody in the right position, and run all over the field is going to be dynamic.

With his “jack of all trades” play last year, I think he will have a better year this year! He has definitely shown that he can be better than those who specialize! I think he’s going to go off!

This time last year, we didn’t even know how much Pace Jr. would play. I think there’s a lot more to uncover: Vikings’ defensive MVP
