The Minnesota Vikings head coaching vacancy was expected to be an appealing one due to the skill position players littered throughout the roster. Although expectations are tempered for this season, prominent stars Dalvin Cook and Justin Jefferson are seen favorably, at least on the video game stage.

Recently, the trailer for Madden 23 dropped, featuring the legendary coach himself. This year’s entry looks to be the best in the long-running franchise. The gameplay trailer revealed a new mechanic called “FieldSENSE,” in which individual players can impact plays through their heightened talent level.

Minnesota is often flyover territory on a national level, but Madden 23 gets it right, showcasing both Justin Jefferson and Dalvin Cook during the trailer. Jefferson is seen high pointing a ball in the back of the end zone, while Cook is shown operating in space while wearing his new number “4” uniform. Both players should be among the best at their position group when attributes and overalls begin to be unveiled later this summer.

For Vikings fans, it’s certainly exciting having some of the “best of the best” on the home team again. For years, Adrian Peterson was one of the most coveted assets in Fantasy Football. Cook’s injuries have kept him from that spotlight, but there’s an actual argument to be made that Jefferson is worthy of a 1-1 selection in a draft, and putting him ahead of Cooper Kupp is no joke.

When getting on the sticks and playing against friends or competition worldwide, Madden 23 will have a few Vikings players as game-changers. With the trailing concluding by saying, “Play like Jefferson…Play like Cook,” it’s more than a little exciting that both players’ individual talents will be recognized in the video game realm.
