Suh Picks the 8-1 Counterpart

The Minnesota Vikings lost to the Philadelphia Eagles earlier this season, and while this one won’t be reflected in the standings, they may have taken another loss to the birds this week. It has been reported that Ndamukong Suh is signing with the other 8-1 team.

Kwesi Adofo-Mensah inherited a Vikings team against the salary cap coming into the season. Minnesota has worked magic to ensure there was room for a few key free-agent additions, but it’s consistently required juggling. With a hole on the defensive line, and the former Super Bowl champ Ndamukong Suh remaining on the open market, the parties have been linked for weeks.

It appeared that Suh simply wanted more money than Minnesota was willing or could come up with, and a match was never made. Now, just one day after former Vikings lineman Linval Joseph signed with the Eagles, Suh is joining him.

Coming off their first loss of the season, one can only wonder if Suh’s parameters were to join whichever one-loss team couldn’t handle the Washington Commanders. Now we know that Minnesota isn’t tied to that designation, while Jalen Hurts and the Eagles are.

In all seriousness, the Eagles form a situation where the rich get richer. Still standing with one of the NFL’s best records, they have brought in two star talents for their defensive line. The division is still theirs to lose, and as long as they handle business, they remain in the driver’s seat for the top seed in the NFC playoffs.

The Ndamukong Suh to Vikings Theories Are Real

Maybe Suh was never truly considering a deal with the Vikings in the first place, but now Minnesota can turn their eventual focus to getting revenge at some point in the playoffs. The Vikings will look to overcome the early season blunder against Philadelphia, and they can send Suh home packing in the process.
