Tom Brady retires, we’ve already got odds laid on Kirk Cousins to the Buccaneers

It’s officially official this time, Tom Brady has announced his retirement from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the NFL after 22 seasons. While not necessarily unexpected, the move leaves the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in a tough spot. They have a win-now roster, minus a quarterback.

Meanwhile here in Minnesota we have a new regime that might be ready for a different direction at quarterback, and a QB on roster that is a proven, but expensive, commodity.

This opens the door for crazy speculation about what it would look like for the Minnesota Vikings to trade Kirk Cousins to Tampa Bay.

While the asking price is all over the place, our guy Dustin Baker did a deep dive on what the fair market value would be for Kirk landing with a first round pick plus some for the QB,

And now that Brady has officially retired, we’re starting to see some odds released surrounding potential quarterback replacements for the G.O.A.T. in Tampa.

With the odds laid by the team at CBS and Sportsline, the front runners remain QBs that are cheap and available like Teddy Bridgewater, Jimmy Garoppolo and Cam Newton, there are others that would require a trade to get someone of a higher caliber in town. Enter Kirk Cousins.

According to Sportsline, the current odds placed on Kirk landing in Tampa are still a bit of a longshot at +1800. An offshore sportsbook betonline.ag has it as +1600, but of the list compiled he’s likely the best option when it comes to caliber of quarterback.

So what do you think? Would you entertain the right offer if the Buccaneers came knocking for Kirk?
