The founder of VikingsTerritory and PurplePTSD.com, Joe Johnson, passed away suddenly last week. He was the sole proprietor of the websites from a management standpoint, leaving the future of his digital creation(s) in doubt.
After thoughtful deliberation by Joe’s family, the websites will resume operation effective immediately.
Joe’s vision was to empower all writers — especially in the Minnesota Vikings orbit — and his family wholeheartedly wishes to keep his memory alive with the sites’ operational resumption.
Dustin Baker will lead operations with the same team of writers intact.
PurplePTSD, FranchiseTagged, The Draft Team, and MinnyIce — verticals founded by Joe — will continue publication in varying degrees of frequency.
All men and women close to Joe — particularly Joe Oberle, Bob Sansevere, Sally Haag, A.J. Mansour, Wesley Johnson, Sean Borman, Josh Frey, and Kyle Joudry — have indicated their willingness to assist in the continuance of Joe’s legacy in different capacities.
So, the show goes on, and new content will publish momentarily.
