Viking’s Have Grueling 2021 Schedule

The Minnesota Vikings are preparing for the 2021 season. Coming off of a 7-9 2020, Minnesota is looking to improve and reach the post-season once again. The Vikings have made the necessary adjustments (on paper) to contend for the NFC North crown. They’ve added talent to a defense that is already getting some of their own players back from injury (i.e. Danielle Hunter, Anthony Barr, Michael Pierce). Minnesota also greatly improved their offensive line with a very impressive 2021 draft.
According to Greg Auman of The Athletic,
The Vikings play against NINE playoffs from 2020, which is tied for 2nd most in the league with Baltimore, Cincinatti, Detroit, Seattle, and Arizona. The good news is, the Packers lead the league with 10 opponents coming off the post-season, which is tied for the most in the NFL.
To Be the Best, You Have to Beat the Best
Now obviously, if the Vikings want to win the Super Bowl. They have to beat the best teams in the league. It’s as simple as that. But, we all know Kirk Cousins has an issue beating teams above .500 and yada yada yada. But this year feels different, the Vikings are built to beat playoff teams. For the previous few seasons, the Vikings have gotten manhandled in the trenches. Fast forward to 2021 and the Vikings are bolstered in that area. The Vikings added BEEF along the offensive line in rookies Christian Darrisaw and Wyatt Davis, and now have two absolute monsters in the middle of their defense in Michael Pierce and Dalvin Tomlinson.
The Vikings are ready to compete in the trenches, and in the NFC North. The official schedule release this Wednesday, May 12th. Stay tuned for more information on the upcoming 2021-2022 NFL season.
