Vikings sign 9 players to futures contracts

By Sean Borman

The Vikings on Sunday signed seven players to Reserve/Futures contracts. On Monday, one more player was added and another will reportedly be signed soon as the team begins to construct its 90-man offseason roster.

Here’s a look at the players who were added:

Mitchell was signed on Monday and Keely will reportedly be signed soon, per Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press. Browning, Brooks-James, Davis, Mitchell, Dillon, Keely, Fields and Hall finished the season on the Vikings’ practice squad. Here’s some info on Sayles, who played in the Canadian Football League the last two years.

By signing Reserve/Futures contracts, these players will be eligible to participate in offseason workouts, minicamps, OTA’s and training camp to ultimately compete for a spot on next season’s 53-man roster or 10-man practice squad.
