Vikings have locked down 2020 draft class

The Vikings have had a busy week, signing draft pick after draft pick. Considering that they broke the NFL record for the most draft picks in the history of the 7-round draft, it’s safe to say that the printer at TCO Performance Center needs some new ink (which could put them over the cap for 2020).
Corner Jeff Gladney, the second first round pick of 2020, was the last to sign after the process was started by 7th-round pick in quarterback Nate Stanley first signed over a week ago.
The TCU cornerback received a four-year, $10.991 million deal that includes a $5.553 million signing bonus, Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press reports.
That’s less than the other first-round pick in Justin Jefferson received, as Jefferson’s contract is a fully-guaranteed four-year deal worth $13.1 million, with a $7.1 million signing bonus.
Other notable signees are second-round pick Ezra Cleveland, who inked a four-year deal worth just under $5.54 million dollars with a $1.58 million signing bonus and $3.06 million guaranteed.
Cameron Dantzler signed a four-year deal worth $4.59 million, including an $860,000 signing bonus.
With that behind them the Vikings can start training camp at near full strength, with all eyes on notable holdout Dalvin Cook who has held out since before there was anything to holdout for.
As we reported then, Cook can’t afford to holdout for very long as with the fines accrued for doing just that he would burn through his current 2020 salary by day 28.
