The Minnesota Vikings are on the board! With the first “roster moves” since signing offensive lineman Josh Andrews in early February, the team has decided to bring back two of its own.

According to Chris Tomasson of the Pioneer Press, the Vikings will tender a one-year contract to safety Anthony Harris. Harris is an exclusive rights free agent and will earn $705,000 in 2018. Tomasson reported Harris is expected to sign the deal next week.

Harris joined the Vikings in 2015 as an undrafted free agent out of Virginia. In three seasons he has made eight starts, registering 47 tackles, three fumble recoveries and four passes defended. He was the fill-in for Andrew Sendejo when the starter missed two games due to injury and one to suspension.

He played well in limited time, earning an impressive 81.4 grade from Pro Football Focus. Harris also collected seven tackles in the team’s two playoff games.

The third-year player joins Sendejo, Harrison Smith, and Jayron Kearse as returning safeties on the Vikings roster.
