The QB dominoes continue to fall. After it was reported early this morning that former Vikings quarterback Case Keenum was signing with the Denver Broncos, it was announced that Kirk Cousins will be signing with the Minnesota Vikings. Now, we have a possible destination for free agent Teddy Bridgewater.

Dianna Russini of ESPN reached out to her sources with the New York Jets. They told her that if the Jets don’t land Cousins, they will turn their attention to Bridgewater to fill their quarterback vacancy. Well, with multiple reports connecting the Vikings with Cousins, expect the Jets to turn their focus to the 25 year-old.

At this point it’s unclear whether or not there’s mutual interest between the team and Bridgewater.

It was reported earlier in the week that Bridgewater, who spent the first six weeks of the 2017 season on the physically unable to perform (PUP) list, was considered a viable “backup plan” for the Vikings. He ultimately returned to the field in Week 15 against the Bengals, but the health of his knee is still very much an unknown.

UPDATES:

Bryant McFadden of CBS Sports reported the Jets are finalizing a deal with Bridgewater. Details on the contract, if agreed upon, will be listed here once reported.

According to Dianna Russini of ESPN, Bridgewater’s deal is roughly $5 million. It was later reported that it can reach $6 million with incentives, per Chris Tomasson.

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network later reported Bridgewater’s deal is actually worth up to $15 million.
