Report: Vikings Re-sign Audie Cole

Audie Cole - Vikings Re-sign Audie Cole

According to numerous reports and sources, the Minnesota vikings are re-signing linebacker Audie Cole.

Cole, a Vikings fan favorite, was drafted in the seventh round by the Vikings in the 2012 NFL Draft. Despite not being a regular starter, Cole managed to make a name for himself through exciting preseason play. In a 2012 preseason game against the Buffalo Bills, Cole famously intercepted two passes on consecutive plays – returning both for touchdowns.

In week 9 of the 2015 season, Audie Cole started his first game of the year in place of injured rookie Eric Kendricks. However, Cole suffered a fractured ankle that game, ending his season.

Initial reports indicate Cole has been re-signed on a one-year, minimum deal. As more details become available, we’ll provide them here.
