PODCAST: Vikings-Seahawks Recap

That was a less than ideal way for the Minnesota Fightin’ Vikings to end the 2015 campaign. But let’s not lose the forest through the trees, this season was a damn good year and this young football team is ahead of schedule with Mike Zimmer. We went 11-5, won a division title, and will be in the mix as legitimate Super Bowl contenders next season. Take a while to let this game marinate, but not all is lost. This team’s best football is ahead of it.

  1. Now that I’ve cooled down from the game (or rather warmed up from being there) I don’t think Walsh should be hung from the goalposts as I did immediately after the kick.

The loss can be put in several places but yes it does land on Walsh. He missed a 27 yard fg. There were hundreds if not thousands of people there who could do that.
But it’s not like Walsh doesn’t have some excuses, he is one of the better kickers in the league, he was in freezing temperatures, it was a bad hold… BUT STILL that was unacceptable. I wouldn’t be upset if we could bring in a more consistent kicker with a weaker leg, but I’d also be okay keeping Walsh.

The guy just needs to improve his short kicks, leading the league in missed extra points and then this…. Im glad I’m not making personnel decisions, in Speilman we trust

  2. With Romo’s clock ticking / expired I think Jones will be more willing to pay for Adrian. They are deep on the Oline, perhaps they would give up a lineman and a 2nd or even a first. I think AD showed enough this year to demo to the league that he still has skills.

    “Two down tyrant” awesome.

Walsh is good from distance, but he missed a lot of extra points this year. Hard to be all in with a guy you can’t short from short distance.

Young team, bright future, but we had a good opportunity THIS year. Great game, very tough loss.

    1. Agreed, Walsh is a good kicker but for some reason up close he is terrible. Hes the Happy Gilmore of kickers!
